The Nigel Farage we see on our screens today is of course not the Nigel Farage who once lead UKIP. That man died ten years ago and has now been replaced by a KGB agent with facial surgery. Tommy Robinson does not exist at all. He is a hologram. I know this is true because a man down the pub told me so.

@syttt7925 So this means anyone can interpret anything anyone says any way they like, does it? Or have I got that wrong?

@syttt7925 So as well as being able to interpret anything anyone says any way we like we can also predict the future? Or have I go that wrong too?

@Radchenister This seems to me to be characteristic of long-established political discourse, and by no means restricted to those on the right.

@Radchenister But the violence has done Farage no good at all. I don't think he was in any way calling for it, but merely warning of its likelihood.

@Radchenister I think you are being paranoid, quite frankly. So many on the left seem to have a deep-seated urge to regard their opponents as monsters, or criminal in some way. We on the right, by contrast, tend to regard our opponents as being fools. The violence does the right no good whatsoever. TR was forced to disband the EDL because of it. In the present situation he issued a number of videos calling for caution and moderation. On the other hand, the frustrations of the marginalised working class have little other avenue of expression. Right-wing activists are in a bit of cleft stick here. To condemn the violence would be to alienate a substantial section of their support base, while to condone it leaves them open to severe criticism and even the absurd threat of criminal prosecution.

@Radchenister He's slipped up on this one, no doubt about that.
