God (if there is one) is renowned for making mysterious choices, and I for one am convinced that Donald Trump is destiny's very unlikely choice to save the Western world from total collapse - or at least to slow the process down to semi-manageable levels.

@thomasmoore1499 The concept of destiny is in no way dependent upon the existence of a divine being. Nor does the concept of choice insist that it must be a single entity which does the choosing. We evolve according to blind chance, it seems, and there is no reason why a slightly bizarre New York property developer should not fill the ecological slot occupied by Presidents of the United States. All that fancy talk aside though, the fact that Trump is outside the cabal of crooks and warmongers who have reigned in this once-great country for the past several decades makes him eminently suited to the role in my view - and hopefully in the view if Mother Nature as well as of the US electorate. Whether the aforesaid cabal will allow this to happen though is a different matter.
