@nihilistlivesmatter Obviously it isn't. But that's because you invariably lose in the long run , but thrilling intermediate wins persuade addicts to play anyway. City trading is somewhat different. With sufficient skill and judgement you can consistently win, no matter how long you play. Also you can use your skill and judgement to affect outcomes - which you can't when playing a one-armed bandit to any great degree.

@vihuelamig I don't think we are too far apart. I think that being born here, especially if your parents were too, gives you extra privileges, and the mundane tasks you describe may just as well be done by alien immigrants who might well go on to higher and more rewarding things if they are intelligent and hard-working enough. As far as Trump is concerned it strikes me that there enough drugged-up non-contributors littering the streets over there to occupy all his efforts for some considerable while.

@derekmulready1523 New immigrants for the most part. As I said, we need foreign workers for many jobs. The trouble with the Brexit we got is that it got rid of some valuable aspects of the arrangement while retaining several dubious ones.
