It's quite extraordinary how an educated man can somehow possess the same opinions as the most ill-educated and brainwashed American High School junior. Russia is not "expanding into another country." It is merely attempting to regain valuable territory which was stolen from it by a worthless piece of paper; one similar to the "treaties" which the US used to help it commit genocide in the country it first occupied. Tucker Carlson is doing a great service to world peace in attempting to open ignorant eyes to the truth of the situation in Ukraine. We are the baddies here. I can only imagine that whatever traumas Professor Wilson underwent during his time in Russia they have skewered his outlook to such an extent that he has reverted to a permanent state of adolescence.

The problem is that Lavrov has a different idea to where Ukraine and Georgia begin and end. In Russian eyes both these countries have had bits of Russia stuck on to them by mistake.

@Brian-om2hh Do you think it all possible that it is not a good idea to advertise your true intentions to your enemies?

@blengi What norms are they then?

Which will hopefully be a good one, acknowledging the facts and bringing peace.

@pinkfloyd870 Not quite. In Russia's view Donbass and Crimea are not parts of Ukraine. It is a view which has considerable merit. They were attached to the Soviet Socialist Republic of Ukraine by the Russian-run Soviet Union and were never part of a country called "Ukraine."

@pinkfloyd870 Not quite. In Russia's eyes Ukraine is Russian - as indeed it was for hundreds of years until 1991 when the foolish decision was taken to make the new country of Ukraine occupy the same footprint as the Russian-run Soviet Socialist Republic of Ukraine.
