  1. One of the most extraordinary things about this incident is the way in which it has divided opinion so sharply. It's almost as though the human race has split down the middle. I saw it as bumptious, privileged, hero-worshipped, war-mongering con-artist Zelensky getting a long-deserved come-uppance. Others, I know, feel broadly the same. Yet on this channel and many others the comments sections are full of people practically in tears over the way their hero has been treated. I suppose in the end it comes down how susceptible one is to continuous conditioning by politicians and the media, as opposed to be able to analyse situations for oneself from time to time.
