@tishwitch highly disagree our pm just said a week ago canadains cannot use firearms for self defense. This law must be changed as we all have a right to self defense.

@TFBx Canadains should be able to own firearms for self protection is all I'm saying bud when our PM goes on t.v saying we don't I would say we have a big problem in Canada the liberals have been taking away our right to self protection with gun bans while giving criminals less time for gun crimes. I beleave Canada needs an 2nd amendment as every canadain should be able to own what ever firearm they wish with background checks etc.

@matthewsmith3078 a 2nd amendment would graduate the right to carry firearms for self protection. Pretty clean law abiding citizens should have a right to do so.

@Jack Sprat what's the affective range of a knife? What's the affective range of a firearm? With a firearm it's important to have range with a knife it's important to get close.

@Jack Sprat I get that but not everyone has the training or skills as yourself and someone with a firearm you wouldn't have much of a chance against.

@Jack Sprat then my bet would be you have trained for many years and train often. Many people don't have the time or dedication to train like yourself. Would it be easier faster to get trained with a firearm or hand to hand combat? Don't men have an easier time training hand to hand? Wouldn't you like your wife,sister or mother be able to defend themselves if you were not home?

@Jack Sprat I have some time at the range but not nearly enough but I could defend myself and family. And do you have knife training or self defense training with weapons? I simply want the choice.

@hairydude1950 and what would you do against someone or multiple attackers with a firearm with a knife? Have your heard never bring a knife to a gun fight? You have to very close to someone with a knife and put yourself at great danger as the closer you are to someone the more likely you are for someone to take the knife away from you. Between a knife or a gun I choose a gun as your can defend yourself from multiple attackers.

@Ellen24493 well any where from 500k to 3 million Americans use firearms for self defense every year so ya the 2nd amendment is working in the US. As for stopping all homicides we have laws,police officers etc they don't "stop" all homicides so your nonsense point is mute.
