  21. October 2018: Gavin McInnes gave a talk at the Metropolitan Republican Club in Manhattan. He stepped out of his car wearing glasses with Asian eyes drawn on them and pulled out a samurai sword. Police forced him inside. Later, McInnes re-enacted the murder of Inejiro Asanuma, the leader of the Japanese Socialist Party; a photograph of the actual murder had become a meme in alt-right social media.
