Mark Fuhrman said he pleaded no contest to perjury because the odds were so greatly against him.  He stated he could not afford to defend himself effectively; and the city's Police Protective League would not help him.  He said he did not think he could get a fair trial in "the racially charged climate of the time."  <<<  Now, that is rich.
