Over many generations the ones who lack the intelligence and personality to plan ahead and delay gratification get selected out of the gene pool. Even within Europe and Asia, further north = higher IQ. Dutch have higher average IQ than Italians. Koreans have higher average IQ than Philippinos. It is what it is.
