They're not scared of different opinions. They're scared of stupid opinions who can ruin lives. So if for example doctors say something about covid their opinions are clearly worth more than Doris commenting in the Daily Express. But thanks to social media and right-wing news lunacy the country is full of Doris-type ranters and actual democracy is suffering. We live in a country with Richard Madely and Right Said Fred get more say about the pandemic than actual medical doctors. Terrifying.

Wasn't the kids who voted for Brexit, was it? They also didn't vote for Evil Honeymonster to be PM. The kids also spent a good year helping out during the pandemic while their elders sneered at them. The kids are okay. Their elders... not so much.
