People pay a lot of money to live in NYC . 2 bedroom condos go for over a million dollars . Plus maintenance costs of thousands a year . Must be something to it .

There are some bad apples in every occupation . Policing is one where applicants need to regularly confront dangerous people . The urge to not be arrested is strong . Cops know this . Less shootings would occur if people just willfully allowed the police to arrest them , once they're apprehended .

@nonameissafer.8457 Sure . Being an officer develops a mindset . Us against them . Dealing with criminals day in and day out , certainly changes a person . Still , I propose that if more citizens did not resist an officer , you'd see a helluva lot less police brutality .

@nonameissafer.8457 We all know that . They are employed to confront criminals . They are rightfully not at ease when doing so . It's best to be cordial and respect that it is the officers job to question on whether or not to make an arrest . For the most part , people treat them as the enemy when detained . It would be easier to discover the truly bad apples if people did not resist them .

@nonameissafer.8457 Resisting arrest , or by not complying , places doubt upon the jury when hearing a police brutality case . Body cams have enforced , not alleviated , the fact that those that fall " victim " to police , generally provoke the situation in some way .

The news does not air instances where an arrest has been made without incidence . Nor do they broadcast the countless peaceful stops made by police .

@nonameissafer.8457 What do believe the ratio of peaceful stops to unpeaceful stops to be ? I'm sure it's like thousands to one

@nonameissafer.8457 I'm more concerned when criminals crap on the rights of citizens , I admit. Probably , why I side more with aggressive cops ( but not brutal cops ) .
1
@nonameissafer.8457 We disagree . You wanna be " sad " for me , go right ahead . Know that , if we were all law-abiding , there would be less aggressiveness within our police forces . Btw , by aggressiveness , I mean tone ( which cops use to decipher someone's guilt ) , not unwarranted physical force . I do admit there are plenty of instances where cops abused their authority , but so have all other walks of life in their respective occupations .

@nonameissafer.8457 I've read many of your past posts . You're generally on target with most . In this thread , however , I feel you're wrong . Above all , Americans want law and Order within their communities . They will allow police to be aggressive , to a point , in order to achieve that goal . No one supports Police trampling upon the rights of law abiding citizens . Good day to you .
