  3. What surprised me most was the Soviets were such nitpickers. But they let the BEATLES in! They drank Pepsi and coke. For all that socialist/communist equality Orwell's ANIMAL FARM had it right--"Some pigs were more equal than others." All that talk about Stalin being a pure communist! He was at most a socialist and regularly an elitist who ate and lived better than anyone else in USSR. What a charlatan!
