@xillerrz7328 My source is that I made it the fuck up.

Ukraine operating Western aircraft like the F-16, JAS Gryphon, or Eurofighter is a post-war endeavor.

Scouts Honor Russian schizophrenia knows no bounds.

Scouts Honor Okay Johnovich from Idaho Oblast.

@realnapster1522 That makes no sense, because Finland and Sweden (on the doorstep of St. Petersburg) have joined NATO. Putin cannot afford to lose the war, because he'd lose power. His whole shtick was making Russia glorious and powerful again.

Il-78 "Midas". A tanker variant of the cargo Il-76.

Nukes are not practical. Drastically increases chance of NATO intervention, destroys any diplomacy Russia can do, and may not change the operational situation at all.

@carldavies4776 Assuming the Su-57s are even combat operation (which I doubt), they'd likely be held around Moscow.

Russian pilots also have far lower flight hours than NATO pilots. The spare parts issue is probably exacerbated by all the different variants and types of planes Russia operates.

@realnapster1522 There is only, what, 5 Su-57s?

@networkgeekstuff9090 The Su-25 is a rugged aircraft, but is very primitive. Ruggedness is good and all until you want a pin-point strike with 1m CEP at night.

@networkgeekstuff9090 Pretty much. The F-35 might have cost a trillion dollars and a decade and a half to conjure up, but it can do just about everything you need. Meanwhile, the Su-25 is dirt cheap and won't break, but it can't do much of anything.
