Steve Arthur So, Sumy is a giant city? Chernihiv too? Is Russia incapable of taking large cities? How about Voznesensk? Apparently Russia fled with their tails after being beaten by a bunch of militia between their legs. Or perhaps that was a "tactical withdraw"? It is hard to tell these days. This war has exposed Russia's incompetence. They have reinvigorated NATO, now all of Europe flocks to the shelter of America. Man, Afghanistan made the Americans look bad, but now Russia basically made it so that it never even happened.

@Nekminute Not with NATO flooding Ukraine with advanced weaponry. Javelins, NLAWS, CS-90s, Stingers, old Warsaw Pact stuff, and now NATO-standard gear. Oh, and also all of the Russian stuff captured by Ukraine.

@karlyo6937 If it was a feint, it was one of the dumbest and costliest feints in military history.
6
@M_Jono Ah yes, because Russia Today says these citizens are greeting Russian soldiers with open arms, it must be true!

Still haven't taken Kharkiv, Kiev, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, or Sumy. Retreated from Kiev, in fact. Just abandoned all that territory in the north.

@Nekminute Oryx visual losses says otherwise. Going off of visually confirmed, geolocated losses, Russia has lost more than 3 to 1 pieces of heavy equipment.

@karlyo6937 Just like the Moskva didn't sink, it was just turned into a submarine.

@grizzles9652 Russia also has to keep it's logistics network capable. Using vast amounts of artillery requires a secure logistics line, from factories to front-line.

Steve Arthur There are plenty of instances of citizens taking up arms in all regions of Ukraine, East included. There are reports of partisan actions around Melitpol, constant protests in Kherson, and when Russian troops entered Sumy, they were greeted with bullets. Eastern Ukraine was friendly to Russia UNTILL Russia began shelling their homes. Most of the war has been fought in Eastern Ukraine, which has been devastated by fighting. There have been no pro-Russian Ukrainian units formed from occupied areas, and the separatist republics have resorted to shanghai-ing people into their militaries. The USSR is dead. Gone. It won't return. Nostalgia for the good times during the USSR doesn't mean you'll go fight for a Russian dictator who claims all of the glory of the Soviet Union for Russia.

Steve Arthur Uh, yeah. Telegram has countless videos of people taking potshots at Russians. There used to be a channel that uploaded videos of that, back at the start of the war. Got deleted though. I think proof that basically no major cities in the north or east of the country have fallen are enough proof. The fact that Azov and the Marines still hold out in that big steel factory in Mariupol, after two months, is telling.

@YMCLilRodney More reliable than RT

@nemanja162 It's crazy how Russia does all that and still had to retreat from Northern Ukraine. Russia is getting beat by babushkas with tractors. For every piece of equipment Russia destroys, Ukraine steals five more from Russia. Russia is a more reliable arms supplier to the Ukrainians than anyone else. Maybe after the war, Ukraine will raise the Moskva and rename it the Kyiv. Would be fitting.

@nemanja162 Tractors go brrrr

@hermanwooster8944 No one cares anymore. Russia turned those guys into heroes.

@hermanwooster8944 Apparently you're wrong, because everyone is condemning Russia. Ukraine is rightfully defending itself from fascist Russian invaders.
