  1. The show does a pretty good portrayal, it doesn't try and get sympathy for Dahmer, it shows him as being robotic and just repulsive. And it pays a lot of attention to the victims feeling the impact of media frenzy, how racism played a role in not taking complaints about him seriously, etc. It also shows how the cops who let one of the victims be returned to him got reinstated and celebrated by fellow cops.
