  1.  @fleurosea  The right-wing-extremist Confederates&Nazis BOTH used cherry-picked verses from the Bible to justify their authoritarianism when it came to racial-slavery & religious-genocide. And the right-wing-extremist Republicans & moderate-right-wing Democrats do the same cherry-picking with the same book to justify the same authoritarianism when it comes to the sexual-slavery of women, and when it comes to the impending genocide they're trying to incite against the LGBTQ+ humans. Being from New Zealand, I'm just presuming that you know that BOTH major American political parties (and most of the minor parties) are right-wing parties. And you need to understand that your country has chosen to be allies with those American right-wing political parties -- many of the policies & decisions that your country makes are based on capitulating to the Americans, Brits, and Aussies who use the same book to justify their authoritarianism. Anyway, the world is bought, owned, bribed, and controlled by the wealthy-class/right-wingers -- it always has been, since the invention of currency, and it probably always will be. And if/when you come to comprehend that truth, then you'll stop seeing authoritarianism as "bizarre" and start seeing it as the normal playbook for lightly-complexioned heterosexual right-wingers and their corrupt, supremacist politics. Because none of this current right-wing authoritarianism is bizarre. And the future of right-wing authoritarianism won't be bizarre, either. Right-wing authoritarianism is all COMPLETELY predictable when one learns the history of right-wing authoritarianism. I hope you learn it soon. ✌🤟✊🙏
