  13. The ships were built for money of Polish nation. The cost of maintaining the force in the west was paid by both Polish government in exile and by the British I think. Ships had to be evacuated as they would be sunk or captured in Baltic Sea- and this way they were fidgeting against Germany in some cases for years!

  16.  @carlharris2808  don’t be to ashamed - you really couldn’t help us then, despite vast majority of Poles being bitter about it. You’re helping us now and you helped us in 1939 by entering the war - who knows what would have happened if France and UK have not declared the war?

  18. No! I’m Polish and believe me - UK was not only broke but also broken after the war - they couldn’t have helped us sadly. Maybe US could as Paton wanted but there were multiple other factors (like soviet agents of influence around POTUS). It was just impossible for our grandpas....

  20.  @simonkevnorris  it wasn’t only katyn. They also had murdered and ethnically cleansed hundreds of thousands of Poles (they started prior to 1939 in USSR in proximity of Polish border). Regarding returning soldiers - regular blokes were ok but the officers were usually harassed and tormented :(

We should deal with them once and for all and ban all interests on loans, most financial operations like speculation etc... They are the reason for all of us being in debt despite me not having any personal loans or mortgage...

Look - I know your dad and all our grandparents felt this way after the war regarding Britain but in reality - Britain was broke (not only financially but also in every other respect). They couldn’t save Poland from USSR... US maybe could fight like Paton wanted to but there were many aspects why they didn’t (one - a lot of soviet agents of influence around POTUS). I am typing that as a Pole, a grandson of a Legiony soldier and a patriot. One must stay realistic in his expectations. :(

  61.  @rogerkay8603  I agree - both soviets and Germans committed horrible atrocities against Polish nation during WWII - I know war in Ukraine is horrific but still ruskies are operating on a limited scale comparing to what they used to do in first half of previous century. Mostly because we are helping Ukrainians in multiple levels and they are putting a fierce resistance so Mordor can’t focus on what they do the best - that is murdering civilians and intelligentsia.
