Just imagine that two political parties are competing for the same electorate with almost the same rhetoric and one gets an absolute power but still feels the other one would destroy them if they were allowed to roam free. @possumGFX you are lacking historical data regarding ‘private’ state of German companies under Hitler. I don’t remember which one (I think it was Junkers) tried to oppose the plans of ministry of war. He was quickly ‘freed’ of his ability to control his company. The rest of the ‘owners’ noticed quickly and understood the message. Ok nazi commies differed from red commies in such that they have not murdered the owners - just deprived them of all the influence upon ‘their’ businesses as well as strategical decision making...

@indotransconsult2360 because a chance of success existed and the bafoons in general rank would get the credit. Also a scapegoat was introduced - Sosabowski (who was several times better at planning and executing plans than Monthy and other asholes).

@scaleyback217 I agree with you that it was impossible for UK to help Poland in 1939 by moving troops to Poland, however - attack from the west was an option. Brits decided to play it safe and buy some time, throwing Poles under the bus. Pilsudski warned French and Britons about the situation with Hitler and proposed a preventive war against Germany in 1934 - idiots in the west decided the danger is not big enough to pacify Germans - well they paid a lot five years later...
