  1. Getting an education on international law that I never wanted, under circumstances that are beyond horrible for the innocent in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. Finding out that we as Americans have been lied to about a brutal Zionist regime, too late to have stopped the deaths of 30,000 and my God the many that preceeded and the more to come. It has left me with zero trust for the government that I volunteered to serve. Thinking that we were some human rights, higher calling nation, the protectors of the oppressed in the world, what a lie, what a complete, total, stinking lie! What a stupid little fool I've been. I know enough to feel shame, care enough to feel outraged by the daily violations of human rights and international laws. And Just as I feel now, we will not forget! We will not forget what we've learned, seen and are seeing daily. The Palestinian cause should be all of our cause now. Never again!
