That's more of a fantasy since Musashi already got decimated by the U.S. years before Operation Ten-Go

@zushikatetomotoshift1575 Yeah no, no matter what you add Battleships are still Obsolete, old, and very expensive. There's a reason why no Navy in the entire world uses Battleships
3
@WadcaWymiaru There is no such thing as a "Armored Battlecruiser", a Battlecruiser with Battleship grade Armor is literally just a Fast Battleship
2
@WadcaWymiaru HMS Hood's armor was more comparable to the Queen Elizabeth-class of Battleships, of course Hood's going to get blown up by Yamato, I mean that's literally a one sided battle unless Hood with her superior speed would just run away
2
No, to add another triple 18" turret you have to change the hull since Yamato's structure as it is, cannot support another turret
2
No, the 18 inch guns the Yamato and Musashi as obvious would be sunk. No known Coastal Batteries of the Japanese had a caliber of 18 inches
2
Yamatos were laid down and built back when carriers were much weaker than battleships so them fighting and winning the previous war is good since they are still in the previous war.

@bkjeong4302 Well isn't that one hell of a timing, carrier airpower in the early 40s were somewhat still finicky so I really doubt that's the time the Battleships were obsolete. I'd say mid to late WW2 that's the time, the carriers absolutely dominated every seas in Earth
2
@bkjeong4302 Fair points, but it is still hard to sink enemy Battleships at Sea with air power alone in those early times. But then again it's much more better to guarantee the safety of your ship if you just use carriers instead of Battleships
2
@bkjeong4302 That would have been an actual good though the Aircrafts may not sink the Bismarck they could at least slow her down or they're really lucky they'll land the lucky blow on Bismarck's rudder. So Bismarck would be dead in the water so they could either,1.) If they have all the time in world, they would send all available aircraft to try and sink the Bismarck though that would take a very long time seeing as Bismarck's torpedo defence system is quite decent,2.) They could send Battleships though inefficient, would save a lot of time, or 3.) A combination of both in which they send everything they have at Bismarck
2
Battleships that are heavier are will generally be called larger even if they are shorter
2
You do realize that Battleships are Obsolete, right?
1
@bkjeong4302 In the case of Bismarck, the Royal Navy made a kind of stupid move by moving closer to Bismarck as the turtleback armor works very well at close ranges meaning they could have sunk Bismarck much more sooner if they had just attacked her from long range
