No, the Germans objective was to destroy a Large part of the Grand Fleet and to soften or break the British blockade, they failed at both because for 1 The Royal Navy was almost back to full strength just a day after Jutland and 2 the British blockade was still starving the German population to rebellion. The Grand Fleet's main objective was not the destruction of the High Seas Fleet but to protect the blockade and not letting the High Seas Fleet break out of the North Sea and the British achieved both those things, as I've Stated before the British blockade was still starving millions of Germans and the High Seas Fleet stayed at Jade for the rest of the war because they were afraid to challenge the Grand fleet again

@admiralfloofz658 Really? Wikipedia? That's really the only source you argue with me? What logic are you talking about? The only thing you're giving me is nonsense Learn how to read next time, I never once stated that High Seas Fleet's objective was to eliminate the Grand Fleet, what I said is that their objective was just to destroy Large portion. A Large part of something is not the entirety of it.

No, the Grand Fleet's objective was to protect and reinforce the British Blockade, and they achieved their goal as the Blockade continued to starve the German population to death and the High Seas Fleet never challenged the Grand Fleet again

The Scharnhorst-class's 11 inch main guns are far better than the ones in WW1

@kms_scharnhorst Technically, they needed those 15 inch guns, Hitler himself wanted that armament for the Scharnhorst-class but a combination of being banned from building any capital ship for the past 10 years means that they have no modern 15 inch gun designs and also for political reasons such as the Royal Navy would respond to Germany building a 15 inch gunned battleship

It's kinda due to propaganda, the Royal Navy wanted the people to believe that Jutland was a perfect victory (Yes technically the British won but that's for a different reasons) so it would be quite odd that an Admiral was relieved off duty when he quote on quote "won" the battle
