@DajuSar Codd's 12 commandments (of which there are 13 using zero-based indexing, so make of that what you will) are essentially a set of requirements Codd decided upon for a database system to be considered "relational". That was in the 70s, I don't feel like summarizing wikipedia but my impression is it's more a historical note than anything else (no standards were ever formed from on it as far as I can tell). DBMS = database management system CAP = Consistency, Availability, Partition tolerance. Also called Brewer's theorem, the idea is if you have a partitioned system with unreliable communications between them at some point you have to choose between consistency and availability.

@iAPX432 1) fuck you 2) you're a dickhead 3) the recruiters who ask me about SOLID principles are arguably less important participants in technical discussions than the newly-recruited junior with some good instincts but no clue what the LSP is.
