  1. I've owned 2 VW Bugs, One was a new one that I bought in 1972-a Fancy one with Crager Mags and Sport Exhaust Pipe. I had a Head on Collision in this one with a 64 Chevy Impala, tore the entire front end off VW , crushed the gas tank which is almost setting in your lap-the Chevy drove away with just slight damage--bad part the driver of Impala had no drivers license and no Insurance sad part, they would not total out VW, cut the entire front end off in front of windshield and replaced all parts-fenders, hood , bumper and Suspension system but left wrinkled gas tank which pissed me off. My 2nd one was a 63 model-- one that I used for a Mud Machine, I installed Unico Mud Grips on back-this thing would almost go anywhere as long as you were not in a hurry. These were good Machines, nothing Fancy--just remember to keep Valves adjusted and never let them get tight, a little loose was ok. Brings back many Memories, Thanks for video of By-Gone Years...
