  1. I think concentration on type XXIII construction and operation would have been more useful defensively during the D-Day Invasion. Being designed for coastal operations they had speed and maneuverability. They were also extremely hard to detect.

  2. I will not watch anymore modern misrepresentations of WWII. It is completely annoying and in my view, disrespectful to the memory of those that died on both sides. Having watched Dunkirk, which was ridiculous, seen the trailer for Midway and Greyhound, no thanks. They look like video games with people inserted. I would rather nail my head to the floor.

  3. It would be interesting to do a movie on the cruise of an Auxiliary Cruiser. Komet, Atlantis and Pinguin come to mind for a movie. Unfortunately, Hollywood would much it up no matter what the subject was.

  4. Admiral King was pretty smart and capable. Right up to the point he allowed his prejudices to interfere with the performance of his duties. By losing his objectivity he cost lives. That speaks to his lack of real leadership and overall competence.
