With the Tories NOW, all poor homeowners can give or receive assets up to a £1M inheritance tax free, the £1M is called the threshold (everyone pays 40% tax on assets over the threshold) Labour's No.1 policy is to reduce the threshold to Zero (so if your house is worth say £400,000 by the time you pay 40% tax your children will only receive £240,000 ( they oppose abolishing this tax because this is how they plan to finance their paymasters the unions and greedy doctors. )
