Realistically, no nation does anything purely out of altruism; China's BRI is a win-win.
The Philippines finally gained independence from the US in 1946, but it is still a poor country, as opposed to Vietnam, which went to
war with the US, but has improved economically. The "debt trap" was concocted by an Indian, jealous of China's progress. The IMF and
the World Bank demand more punitive conditions than China for their loans; Sri Lanka already was in heavy debt prior to it joining BRI.
I don't see any nation willing to help Pakistan; I highly doubt you do.
Many countries, like Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and African nations are benefiting from BRI. As alluded to in the video, Indonesia has the
first hi speed rails in SEA, China has invested heavily in the Jazan region of S. Arabia. In Africa, China has built ports, roads, hospitals.
