Police have access to income tax filings, let all nonviolent crimes be income-based fines. For example, running a red light (without causing injury) is 0.5% of annual income. This means that someone earning $30,000 per year pays $150, whereas someone earning $3 million per year pays $15,000. To whom much is given, much is required. Teaches that you cannot disregard the rules as you can just pay off easily.

And the tourists who just got off the plane: umm, cheque, please. Heads back on plane.

Iirc Dont actually buy, you lease for 99 years. In other words, the value is lost as you cant pass to children (with them selling as need be).

Your sentence structure makes me wonder if Asia has an Amazon as well 😏

Trade agreements could specify a minimum wage in industries being traded, as well as with safety and other labour regulations. The treaty organisation should have board to review and make ruling. If party still disagrees, they are free to leave trade treaty and pay tariffs for entry (perhaps tariff could be applied to account for price if labour, safety, and wage regulations were the same).

Not if they're a one-eyed mate with bifocals...maths people, you get it.

Heather Larson Social credit is interesting. While many see it as dystopian, I can see it as an extension of the current credit system, which those same naysayers will promote. If the govt is representative, then I dont see an issue anymore than having them write laws.

Agreed. I posted earlier about annual income flat percentages (eg running red light without causing injuries at 0.5% annual income per offence). I wouldn't have an issue with revoking licenses as long as good public transport were available (sorry US).

One is the executive (deputy PM), the other is legislative (shadow minister (?))

Not supposed to address each other. Address the Speaker/chair

What's the difference between a cult and a denomination of a religion? Various christian denominations were classified as cults in the past and are now considered mainstream. If the difference between a cult and denomination is charismatic living leader, then all the megachurches are cults, regardless of denomination (sorry graham, hagee, etc).

@frjuy many people have read their bibles. That's why there are about as many denominations as people who have read the bible. 😁

I was gonna say, if S$1 million = $100,000 then not so bad 😉😁

If its public housing, shouldn't the rent/mortgage be based on income? In other words, if I earn $2000 per month, shouldn't I pay $600 per month (30% of income)? How can a person making $500 per month afford $700 rent (or healthcare premium in the US)?

In some countries, the AI can look at license, look up owner address, and mail the ticket. Can still contest, if you want. In other countries, the AI can look you up directly 😎🕴👮♀️👮♂️👨💻👩💻🕴 If course, nothing beats harpoon cameras. Run a red light, the camera shoots a harpoon ar your car, blares siren, and holds your car for police.😲😳 🚔🚔🚥🚀🚙🚔🚔

Doesnt the news spell out acronyms, even if a guest says it? Would be nice for a refresher on how the housing market works.

Why not just give each person (including children) 1.5 ares (15m × 15m) of land? This can be sections of floors in buildings too. The landowner could then build a house on their own dime (including interior non-bearing walls and ceiling of towers), or move in existing one. Towers can have large windows (curtain-glass) grass and streets (hallway), so building can be just like building on open land.

Smart as comment from waitress: "the sea." Ask her where the corn comes from (the farm). 😗🙃😉

Are they selling towns in new Zealand? I would like to be mayor for life 😁🕴🏰 maybe I can appoint a legislative council like the old days (twirls powdered wig)

At most? So 81 year olds dont exist? 🙃👵🧓

Public scrutiny is best by the whole public. Most of the world doesn't care about singapore or other countries' politics anyway. And those that do are usually countries that have spies in place anyway. Its the ordinary people that are being cut off. I'm still upset that New Zealand news isn't livestreamed, let alone their parliamentary sessions. Its considered one of the most democratic in the world. Guess I'll just watch what other countries are saying about it as the host country is silent. In a trial when the accused is silent but the defence is loud, most people will tend to believe the defence. Be warned 🤔

Took 40 years from the invention of television and nearly 20 years since the live coronation of Queen Elizabeth before the british parliament broadcasted its sessions. Not sure about live streaming...

It's chilly in the us. They need lapdogs. 🐕🐕🐕🐶

More like bad cop, bad cop. Big govt is just as bad as big corporation. Big brother vs big sister.
1
Law applies to all. Most parliaments can't pass laws saying only one person, corporation, etc can't do something.
1
Like China? Giving govt the option to be able to shut down the servers is no Bueno. Should all industries and services be domestic only too? All countries would be much poorer for that insular thinking, I believe.

@TAL142 I think I would prefer cayman island or Switzerland as they won't share data or have large govts.

The cloud would be a game changer. Google could shut off and delete any Australians content. The aussies would rise up, not against Google, but against canberra.

🇨🇳: or make their own like we do. That's so much better and we can urge a certain point of view 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳 😁

Betting they're part of the oligopoly too. Have you seen how many ads they can afford to run everywhere?

I have to for images. Google mobile won't save pictures on Android, but Bing image search will. Kiwi in texas now. 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿

Law would apply to them too. Australia would have to make its own version: koalakoalaCharge or wallawallaby.

I think it has to do with their occupation. You're welcome to sign up. Also doctors perform surgeries, but i (non-doctor) would not want to perform a surgery on a doctor.

Not the us. Corporations own the congress.

They turned singapore into Detroit. When American cops are invited overseas...

Why not just have a vending machine store? Machines can build and bag the burgers too.

@bsolutions525 Do you support social security? You communist! Go back to moscow 😋 Seriously, though. In many developed democracies, the ability to pay is taken into consideration for many things where people don't really have a choice - they need them. Are you really gonna shop around for a cardiologist with the cheapest price tag while you are dying? And I'd hardly call canada, UK, Sweden, etc north Korea or Venezuela.
