  1. What's the difference between a cult and a denomination of a religion? Various christian denominations were classified as cults in the past and are now considered mainstream. If the difference between a cult and denomination is charismatic living leader, then all the megachurches are cults, regardless of denomination (sorry graham, hagee, etc).
