Newest example i just found out about is that of chinese premier Zhao Ziyang (2nd in command in china)--during his tenure, it was stated that China was the most transparent and democratic (obviously still a communist dictatorship, but you could grumble and dissent without disappearing). He refused to order the troops to crackdown on Tiananmen in 1989. He was promptly fired and subsequently erased from history there. Even at his death, the party ensured his title could not be said and that a "comrade zhao has died...moving on to other news." Hopefully I don't cause your video to be banned. 😔
