Fun fact: after ww 1 and 2, a few provinces of germany and France tried to join Switzerland, the neutral and stable country. Switzerland decided not to so as not to be seen as non-neutral...being invaded, its just not them. Personally, I think that would've been a great way to create a european union that would've started out democratic...slowly expanding from the centre of europe.

@fl3669 Hardly any central bank is really private nor independent. Hegg, even the supposed independent judiciary that people tout is the hallmark of democracy is not independent (executive, or executive + legislative appoints, not elected by shareholders or voters).

Commercials upon commercials upon commercials. I recently seen two ads before I could watch a flipping 30 second video. The ads were longer! YouTube, wtf???!!

Another reason to invest in swiss francs is that Switzerland is a neutral country that doesn't freeze assets when the govt doesn't like your policies, and doesn't involve itself in waging war across the world. Oh, and a stable govt. The executive is collective (unlike the presidential that is prone to dictatorship or a blowhard that changes policy on a dime), collegial (they cannot fire each other, unless the prime minister being able to fire ministers in parliamentary systems, and proportional (4 different parties are in the 7-member executive- and they must work together).
