Maybe the streets of America could resemble the streets of Iraq or Afghanistan. Dont recall habeas corpus or warrants issued before soldiers broke down doors and dragged people out. Perhaps america is Iraqizing.

9:03 Many western democracies have military unions too. Why should other public servants get it while the ones who are in harms way do not?

If only fast food workers and other low wage jobs could get unions like the police or SAGAFTRA (actors). They'd probably get pensions and salaries, rather than wages where hours can be cut if minimum wage goes up.

In the US, everybody and their mum is packing. Cops must be extra vigilant. Mass assault knives or swords that can drop 20 people at once do not exist...yet. Does leave the question for switzerland though.

Arent local police funded by property tax? The same property tax that gives americans bad schools? Is there a correlation between bad neighbourhoods (and less property tax collected) and bad cops? Sure, state police are state funded, but budgets tight there from fear of using income tax in many jurisdictions, relying on low sales tax instead. The year long training would get nowhere as Americans dont want to foot the bill. How are european police funded?

8:00 Military held to account... Generals laughing at lower ranks taking the fall. Women and some men shaking their head at their abusers who got to stay in while they were asked to resign or discharged.

Wanna see what police would look like with unions? Go talk to a fast food or amazon worker. With police, the need for bribes will grow as their wages and pension gets cut. The rich would be able to pay off cops while the poor would suffer more. Think its bad now? Sure, maybe some countries don't have police unions. But in those countries where bribery is not the modus operandi, I bet that the pay and benefits are set by the central govt and are higher. Imagine the outcry if americas cops or their pay were nationalized.

I counted 5 commericals outside his own. And no, I can't use an ad blocker. Barely have enough data to run this at 144p and all my bookmarks are on this app.

If i may, there is at least one correlation between the us and Venezuela- they are both presidential republics ( ie the head of state is also the head of govt).
