  4. It has nothing to do with where she lives. It's not a meritocracy. You don't earn it. You don't have to do anything to keep it. She's married to a Duke. That makes her a Duchess. Period. Again: not a meritocracy. And it's kind of incredible you never noticed it isn't. This is a class system, and she is now at the top.

  6. She's welcome in Canada. Canadians I know all love her. Everyone is Team Harry & Meghan, my friends say. They don't even know any pro-monarchists. They're a bit younger, but I think that's the common feeling. Of course, most Canadians aren't up on the gossip.
