Ukraine is a poor choice of ally, given its corrupt government, evident instability, artificial frontiers, and inability to get to grips with the chronic poverty which is endemic there. NATO was established to counter the real threat of expansionist communism, driven by Soviet Russia. Perhaps you can explain what relevance NATO had after 1989? The CO2 theory of climate change is grounded on the assumption that molecules of carbon dioxide can absorb infra red radiation. Any first year chemistry undergraduate should have learned about quantum theory and infra red absorption spectra. CO2 absorbs about 10% of infrared radiation - about 90% passes through, assuming that all the radiation that could be captured actually was captured. The same capture also limits the radiation reaching the surface in the first place. All the CO2 in the atmosphere would form a layer less than 4 metres thick. If the climate is changing due to human action, the cause is something else. Put another way, if CO2 emissions were drastically cut, the problem would continue. Don't you think that is something to be concerned about?
