What stopped the Vietnam war was Communist sympathizers in the US manipulating the public opinion on the war and paint the US as the aggressor, just like today. If the war had drag on, the result is there would be no more Communist in Vietnam.

  6.  @garyhowat3051  When I said country fighting Russia, it means their military power fighting Russia. Polish and other countries volunteers are still part of the Ukrainian army hence why it's still just 1 country fighting Russia. If NATO decides to join in, then it would mean 41 country vs Russia.

The US finished their War on Terror after killing Osama Bin Laden, and completed their mission. Russia did not, and collapses soon after.
