  1. Russia is desperate for manpower because it has a severe troops shortage in Ukraine. It takes nearly seven months in the U.S. to produce a basic infantryman (at least in the Marines) after intense 12 to 14-hour days (and sometimes more!) and then he's still green and vulnerable when he's finally attached to a rifle company. These Russians are signing up for as little as 3-6 months of total service, which suggests maybe they're going to get a week or two of training at the most. That's called "cannon fodder". Plus the money will never be paid to the families of those killed in action.

  2. It has been confirmed that Kupiansk has been freed and the Russian invaders sent packing. Kupiansk is a major transportation hub. The clash between the Putin regime and the military is continuing with Shoigu on the chopping block, to be blamed for recent losses. He is a public administrator not a career military man so nobody in the military will cry of he goes. Putin is losing big on the battlefield so he has resorted to bombing a few power stations. This will not help his military problems but it will make the Ukrainian population mad when they don't have electricity, so much that the "elections" in the occupied territories have been canceled.

Putin had 3 objectives, To annex Ukraine ( not gonna happen ) to prevent the expansion of NATO ( he got the exact opposite ) and to weaken the European alliance thru their dependence on russian fuels ( they are now rededicated to the alliance and are moving to find alternate sources of fuel. ). In every sense of the word, it's been a debacle for Putin and for Russia.
