  1. For Ukraine to start another offensive, it needs overwhelming firepower donated by NATO but it looks like NATO is stingy with weapons shipments. Without overwhelming firepower (not just equal to Russia's), it is a static war of attrition, with neither side able to make any meaningful advance. Sort of like WW1. So the question is which side will be able and willing to outlast the other side, and can Russia's war economy continue to pay for the war to match NATO's financial aid to Ukraine.
