17:30 But ruralization occurred due to the fall of the Roman Empire, not social change. You couldn’t sustain the same number of people in the cities without trade networks, so people left. I think the connection is purely coincidence. Also, lots of the Red states on the map DO have large rural areas for the most part. Eastern Washington and Oregon are huge areas. Also, rural areas’ infrastructure is more costly. This is a point Tim Pool made- that there’s actually a limit to how cheap real estate actually gets the further away from civilization you go due to the need to add infrastructure. Also, manufacturing still needs humans in congregations. This implies the dominance of small cities and towns, rather than just the countryside.

Note that the reason inflation happens in part is due to the fact central banks actually target for inflation at around 2% to encourage spending and investment. You don’t need crypto of you convince everyone to target 0% instead of 2%. Also, note that debt is currency in effect, and thus trying to target a 0% inflation rate severely restricts credit. This is partially why only Jews could be moneylenders in the Middle Ages- in a world with cheap credit, inflation would be inevitable. Finally, the US is a victim of its reserve currency as much as a benefactors. Keynes noted that a single nation taking reserve status would result in a trade deficit due to the demand for the currency (the Triffin Dilemma). This is why he actually wanted a global reserve system.

21:30 I noted how you made note of Fox News. Fox News is actually the only network competing with internet news right now effectively, likely by being ‘populist’ and not being complete liars. Tucker Carlson, for example, has only half the viewership of Joe Rogan, but several times that of CNN’s primetime.

Both Shiaism and Christianity have the most aspects of Zoroastrianism. I could see a variant of either being used to create something similar. I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time Iran changed religion.

@Lusa_Iceheart Well, TBF, Fox has a few other personalities, like Gutfeld who are doing pretty well. Prime Time Fox is doing badly, though, at comparable (though higher) levels to CNN and MSNBC, which probably indicates people don’t like the prime-time format. Thing is that other than Rachel Maddow and (well WAS) Chris Cumomo, left-wing cable has few good personalities. And even they’re still pretty low compared to their Fox counterparts.

Hey, Whatifalthist? Can you reply to my email? I put a lot of effort into it, and I think it is very useful and relevant information.

@jaketaber8553 Well, TBF, does Pheonix or Los Angeles have water?

@kingdomcome46 Source? The CCP has been remarkably successful at crushing religion. I can’t see them becoming any significant % Christian unless the CCP vanishes.

@stapleman007 Did you try Patreon-messaging? Might be more successful, though I haven't bothered to pay yet.
