@joecastillo8798 Question: "Was Mary sinless? Was Mary without sin?" Answer: Mary the mother of Jesus was a godly and blessed woman, but she was not without sin. Jesus was the only human without sin. Jesus “had no sin” (2 Corinthians 5:21). “In him is no sin” (1 John 3:5). Nothing of the sort is ever said of Mary or anyone else. Jesus Christ is fully human, but He is also fully God (John 1:1). He is the Lamb of God, “without blemish or defect” (1 Peter 1:19), a title and description no other person can claim.

I want to say no more about it all I can do is point to scripture. We will agree to disagree

true

@joecastillo8798 Rather than teach that Mary was sinless, the Bible gives evidence that she was a normal person with a normal person’s need of salvation. In Mary’s praise-filled, humble prayer in Luke 1, she says, “My spirit rejoices in God my Savior” (verse 47). If she were sinless, she would not have needed a “Savior.” Mary receives a gentle rebuke from Jesus in John 2:4, which hardly seems fitting if she were sinless.

@joecastillo8798 Catholicism also teaches that the reference to Mary being “highly favored” (Luke 1:28) and one who was “blessed . . . among women” (Luke 1:42) supports the view of a sinless Mary. However, neither verse makes such a claim. It is possible to be blessed and know God’s favor without being sinless. Catholic teaching also describes Mary as “full of grace,” but that phrase is found only twice in the Bible, and neither time is it in reference to Mary. Jesus is said to be “full of grace” (John 1:14), and so is Stephen (Acts 6:8). The veneration of Mary in Catholicism and some other liturgical religious systems has led to the unbiblical claim that Mary was without sin. Other unbiblical doctrines have also cropped up around the view of a sinless Mary: the teaching that she was a perpetual virgin, that she hears and answers our prayers, that she shares in our

The veneration of Mary in Catholicism and some other liturgical religious systems has led to the unbiblical claim that Mary was without sin. Other unbiblical doctrines have also cropped up around the view of a sinless Mary: the teaching that she was a perpetual virgin, that she hears and answers our prayers, that she shares in our redemption, and that she is a mediator of grace, to name a few. Those who revere a sinless Mary are being “led astray from . . . sincere and pure devotion to Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3). I am trying to help you see it from a Biblical point of view by quoting this information. Not trying to say you shouldn't be Catholic but I once was indoctrinated by that stuff about Mary too but on reading some of the aforementioned scriptures I realised I was wrong she was in fact no sinless.
1
you take away the glory from God by worshipping other Gods such as Mary like God.
1
@joecastillo8798 John the Baptist's parents walked in rightousness it never says that they are sinless that's adding to scripture.
1
@joecastillo8798 I don't agree based on the scriptures I sent you. You are free to believe she was sinless but scripture says otherwise. Jesus was the immaculate conception not Mary. God Bless. Being saved does not make anyone sinless. God is full of grace and by that grace alone are we saved. Yes, we do good works as a result of being safe. It does not say all have sinned except Mary.
1
Yes, I do believe we all have original sin and that includes Mary and I have pointed out scriptures showing this fact. I will agree to disagree about Mary based on scripture 'all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God' and Mary said 'my spirit rejoices in God my saviour' even if it was not Jesus until later and she made atonement for her sin and purification when she sacrificed two turtle doves after she gave birth to Jesus. Why should God's grace only be given to Mary? Stephen had this grace also. God Bless.
1
Thanks but I know what the Word of God says. I politely will agree to disagree with you. You are very sincere in your faith but so am I.
1
no that's not true her bones were found as far as I know.
1
You should believe in Jesus alone
1
@hearts16 you need to repent first then get baptised. Your parents can't make a decision for you to be baptised as a baby. A baby is not at the age of reason so in the Bible it mentions dedication of infants and Jesus was a man when He was baptised.
1
He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.
1
The only one who can heal your little boy is Jesus not his mother will all due respects.
1
Joe D that's not completely true God still has a plan for them and many of the remnant of them are turning to Christ. We are only ingrafted in. Baptism does not save you. How do you know they are not baptised some might be. Pray for them to get saved.
1
, just as he spoke to our fathers
1
Joe D please trust in Jesus not other gods.
1
Joe D sadly that's made up. No scriptue mentions Mary's parents or that she died at 65 where did you get thst information from? She is not the Queen of Heaven either and no purgatory in the Bible either friend.
1
Check Luke 1:46 in the New Testament in your Bible.
1
Joe D the Jews are the apple of Gods eye. Fair enough but I go directly to Jesus my Lord and saviour. If you want to defy the Bible and what it says that's your business. John says of Jesus in his gospel 14:6 "I am the way, the truth and the life no one comes to the father except by me". That's the reason I don't pray to saints or Mary is that they have no power. Jesus never says 'pray to my mother'. He is the only one worthy of praise along with his father Abba and the Holy Spirit. Others on earth can be intercessors ie you can ask other saints in your church to pray for you for intentions
1
Joe D she didn't walk the road with Jesus he did that on His own. Why do you need Mary to intercede for you when we are told in scripture to approach the throne of grace with confidence (that's God alone not Mary)
1
Joe D she was a sinner for all have sinner and have fallen short of the glory of God including Miriam as she was called in Hebrew
1
@lazerwerks exactly and thank God for your love to want to show others the biblical way.
1
This is against scripture and insulting to God who we are to give glory to alone. Statues are inanimate objects. You might as well worship the Golden Calf as the Israelites did.
1
@pam8sj0611 its still an idol.
1
Mother of Jesus
1
Joe D she's not a co redemptorist that's insulting Jesus' complete and perfect sacrifice on the Cross. He alone is worthy of our praise.
1
@chrislloyd5838 no a lot of protestants don't agree with divorce except for maritial unfaithfulness as it says in scripture. If there is abuse within marriage it's not a proper marriage anyway anymore. However, remarriage is not necessarily right although some I know think it's fine. It says do not murder in the 10 Commandments so that includes not murdering the unborn.
1
@chrislloyd5838 no we don't agree with abortion or divorce.
1
He has accomplished power deeds with his arm.
1
Angelyn Chow check Luke 1:46 Mary's Song.

Who will pay for it. People on 400,000 pa should be taxed more

Joe LIedone scary

Joe D here is an answer about praying for the dead. "Does the Bible indicate that the living should ever pray for the dead? Is there any chance that those on earth can help those in the next world? The Bible says there is no basis whatsoever of the living praying for the dead. The following points can be made. 1. Condition After Death Determined In This Life Where we go after we die will be determined in this life. Jesus said to the religious leaders of His day. I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins (John 8:24).
1
@KECarter no Jesus had no offspring.
1
Isaiah 53 tells us Jesus had no descendants himself, but presumably His brothers and sisters had children so I'm that sense he would have descendants but not direct descendants.
1
@wellallaredeadandhavedrown6813 violence to women
1
yes unfortunately
1
The Right Mindset yeah thay would be hell I'd say fot any mam to have five mother-in-laws!
1
Only Our Lord and Saviour can forgive by his Precious Blood on the Cross!
1
Abortion is murder and nothing else. Abortion is not healthcare and you are violating the rights of the unborn.
1
How can a Catholic approve of abortion?
1
lovely video
1
What a long list.
1
@Jesus Loves You<33 sadly yes so true.
1
@mrhero7048 well can explain why are the Taliban claiming to be Muslim and acting in a manner that is not in keeping with the Qu'ran and are killing people in the name of their god Allah. Do you condone murder of Christians Luke they do?
1
@mrhero7048 yes Muhammad was as we all are except Jesus. Jesus is the only who saves us from sin by his Previous blood on the Cross.
1
@omer88f no that is wrong too.
