@Twocat5side Indians I've worked with, any international organisation that looks into these kinds of things. Half the population live in abject poverty, they have the caste system which means culturally they don't care about the "untouchables" or other lower castes

@Twocat5side very much so, only a thousand years older and so culturally ingrained it's completely accepted and not considered at all bad. They don't think of it as racism or prejudice at all, although of course it is

Yeah, don’t forget India has 2 nuclear subs that it dived with the hatches open, I wouldn’t hold your breath on them becoming a world power anytime soon

@ihavenojawandimustscream4681 who said anything about rear hatches? It's not bad design, the Russians have been running those subs for decades and never had one incident never mind two. Diving with the hatches open is just poor quality seamanship, same reason the evergiven was grounded in the suez, which surprise suprise also had an Indian crew

If you look at official figures in the US you will see their adult literacy rate is way lower than 99%, it's one of the reasons they have the largest prison population per capita in the world, and that's despite having the death penalty

I'll try and explain it to you but I'm afraid you'll lack the literacy proficiency to understand. These adults, who scored below Level 3 for literacy on the PIAAC, are defined as at least partially illiterate. 14% of U.S adults scored below level 1, defined as illiterate. Adults below Level 1 may struggle to understand texts beyond filling out basic forms, and they find it difficult to make inferences from written material. @shiveshsingh3169 aha yes, famous government programs that are nothing more than opportunities for corrupt politicians and their friends to line their pockets with taxpayers money. Unfortunately like a lot of things in India, claims and reality are very different. Like the tiger population, for example.
