It might already be doing it. How would we know?
7
This isn’t strictly true. Remember when Google put two AIs together to communicate and the rapidly created their own language that the researchers couldn’t understand, so they panicked and turned them off? This behaviour was uninitiated by the researchers. Tbh, I’m more worried about what humans are going to tell AI to do than what AI might tell AI to do. Political, military and corporate elites rarely think or worry about unintended consequences, and they’re the ones controlling AI and setting the agenda.

He should know, he’s getting it from the horses mouth

You know he’s Klaus Schwab’s right hand man, don’t you?
4
@BradleyLayton anyone who doesn’t follow the authorised narrative and commits thought crimes. Thought crime is now an actual crime in California and the U.K. you can be arrested and charged for having an opinion or being suspected of thinking about attending a protest.
4
@jb1670 there was only 3 messages and 1 was a religious one, what lack of comprehension are you talking about?
3
@tcritt to be fair to Rogan he exposes a large audience to guests, information and ideas that the corporate msm don’t. Hence why he’s so popular. CNN gets a less than a million views daily. Rogan regularly gets over 10 and can get as high as 40.
3
@sebastianb.1926 you think he isn’t? Any particular reason or you just prefer to think that because it makes you feel better?
2
@sebastianb.1926 very convincing. You’ve really backed up your arguments with evidence there son
2
@KevinUchihaOG aha Wikipedia, the fountain of all knowledge that can be relied upon for completeness and accuracy
2
@KevinUchihaOG written and edited by anonymous Wikipedia commentators. Look at the number of edits a Wikipedia page has, Ava the number of edits within the last 3 months. Then go in and see how many times stuff has been put in and taken out. Wikipedia is a free for all. What’s even funnier is that the french and Arabic versions say completely different things to the English version and are far more accurate. But yeah, you keep on believing Wikipedia is accurate

@ideastshoa6383 you said AI doesn’t learn languages on its own. It does, without any training to do so. Regardless of which, an extremely powerful tool on the hands of rich corporate, military and government elites makes it very dangerous for everyone else. They are not known for their morals and ethics.
2
@BurgleBoyyeah because cooperation and Collective bargaining never did anyone any favours ever
2
@ideastshoa6383 you’ve never heard of emergent properties? After a certain number of parameters. LLMs learn how to speak Farsi without being trained, and no one knows why. This is just one example. I can’t believe you don’t know this, it’s common knowledge and has been widely reported. You seem to be suffering from the Dunning Kruger effect. I urge you to do more careful research.

@ideastshoa6383 I don’t really agree with regulation. The government hasn’t got the knowledge or the capacity to regulate it properly - they can’t even understand or regulate the internet or TikTok. The only reason regulation is being called for is because big companies want to keep the AI advantage for themselves and ban all open source AI. Regulation had nothing to do with safety and everything to do with profits. Regulating it isn’t going to make it safer because it’s still in the hands of rich people who will use it hence they want and it won’t be good for us. If they were really concerned about safety they would be putting money into AI safety and alignment, and they’re not. They’re just worried about profits. That’s the only reason they’re calling for regulation, to stop the little guy having it and eating into their huge slice of the cake,
1
@ideastshoa6383 data safety is absolutely awful, nobody posts anything more than lip service to those laws Ava they’re being broken all the time by huge companies. They get funded but nowhere near enough to incentivise them to stop doing it. Goldman Sachs deleted 47 million emails related to subpoenas over the Epstein case and got fined 4 million dollars. That’s is nothing to them, and isn’t going to stop them doing squat. Meanwhile they’re illegally destroyed evidence in a criminal investigation and not one person will ever face prosecution over it. Marriott hotels lost 4 million of their customers days, including home addresses and credit cards, so did British airways, so did a ton of other companies. If AI regulation is as effective as data regulation we’re totally screwed. The law ain’t goons to squat to stop big companies abusing it, it never does.

@FireOvRenewal utopia does exist for some people. If it can exist for some, why not all?
1
@FireOvRenewal I would suggest anyone living in the Hamptons or Malibu are living in a utopia. They’re certainly a lot more utopian than Oakland or south Chicago.
1
Really? And he’s telling us we need to be worried because AI is going to bring in authoritarian governments? This is the equivalent of own nothing and be happy. The return of feudalism. I guess we really should be worried then because he knows what they’re planning to do, and it’s clearly this.
1
They’ve found cures alright, but one time, one off cures aren’t good for profits. They want to invent a drug that you have to keep taking for life
1
It’s not that far of, unless you’re thinking white checking out in the next 5 years you’ll see it
1
@SmileyEmoji42 it won’t solve it for us. That will be for the exclusive club at aren’t in
1
Do you mean father Ted?
1
Bayesian inference is the godfather of AI
1
@aaaaaaaard9586 I think it’s the fact that those systems are very focused, atomistic, specific and specialised. Now we have much more generalised, multimodal, holistically capable AI.
1
@aaaaaaaard9586 so emergent properties like speaking Farsi aren’t self learning?
