So the country that has been way ahead of the us in the space race and constantly launching rockets into space and maintaining a space station for decades whilst the us didn’t even have any vehicles capable of getting into force and had to rely on Russian technology hasn’t been able to launch icbms for over 30 years? Bit of a stretch that.

@mikeheffernan China has robots on Mars, so does India. Even the U.K. does. Putting people and the stuff you need to build a space station into space is a different kettle of fish, and the USA couldn’t do it for over a decade

@maokuscabe816 I’m afraid to inform you that the USA has had to rely on Russia for over a decade to get men and stuff into space and onto the ISS because it didn’t have any transportation in between the shuttle being shut down because they kept blowing up and Elon musk . So yeah, It wasn’t just the 50s and 60s, it was the naughtiest as well. The Russians have been putting things into space consistently for 70 years straight, and have far more experience of living in space stations than anyone, so I wouldn’t be too completely about their rocket technology. If they need it to work it’ll work

@Морозов-ь7с I agree but unfortunately YouTube don’t and have shadow-banned your comment.

Nuclear missiles don’t need to be particularly accurate, it’s not a precision guided munition
2
Right... Because the USA haven't been involved in any conflicts or bombings since ww2
2
@Local.Motion yeah, how's that going in Iraq and Afghanistan? They should maybe work on their own democracy before trying to spread it, it doesn't look in too good shape
2
Pretty sure most of those old people are Brits who've retired to Spain who are all trying to get back to blighty now
2
Is this the right description?

@whattwowhat believe what you want, I’m sure they’ll protect you when the nukes start flying
1
@mikeheffernan it has now thanks to a South African but until recently it had nothing and for 15 years had to rely on Russian rockets to get its astronauts and payloads into space. The point is the Russians know a thing or two about rockets. And Elon musk doesn’t build nukes
1
@gingernutpreacher ok pal hang on to your beliefs when the nukes are flying see where it gets you
1
@jonknestrick5219 yeah you have now thanks to private companies. The government doesn’t and over a decade the U.S. had to rely on the Russians to take any big payloads or astronauts into space. Well done, the USA finally caught up with broke ass 3rd world Russia thanks to a South African, congratulations
1
@DisinterestedParty do you think challenger is the only space shuttle to blow up? The us went over a decade having to rely on Russian rockets and bow they have to rely on a south African
1
@TeaParty1776 for what? You believe whatever you want anyway
1
@TeaParty1776 yes please
1
@Jay MacDonald you seem to be under the illusion that there is a way to win a nuclear war
1
@calvinmalbrook8585 back in the day people moved to the gold rush Country. Now they just moan about it. The funny thing is it's Americans in charge of American corporations that pushed for it

@ttl_regu5047 he got it pretty much bang on

Very easy to procure the parts, assemble and service and you can do it in your basement. Handy if it comes to an all out war when factories are bombed and you need the population to produce things out of easily obtainable gear. You won’t be getting drones from Turkey in a nuclear war. Probably more thought out then you imagine. Like their planes they were designed with valves to withstand emp and don’t need a whole lot of maintenance or FOS on a runway before takeoff, because who’s doing that in battlefield conditions
1
@steveosborne2297 incorrect and a buried jet wouldn’t do you much good
