I agree with dominic grieves and the postal minister doesn't appear to understand what the word precedent means. I appreciate that these convictions do need to be sorted out, and that it is taking time to do so, I get it. But the why isn't as important as that such an act of parliament is the plan at all. Government might pass legislation that allows the criminal law equivalent to a class action to take place so that the courts could squash convictions themselves, but for parliament to do it even for a nobel cause is just wrong. It undermines the entire fabric of British society.
