  1. "Words matter to Zach, not his real name" This self contradictory line is a perfect summary of this report. Words only matter so long as they benefit the position CH4 want to represent. Braverman was pointing out the difference in definition between persecution and discrimination. That they are very different words, and that those differences matter. Persecute (V) to treat someone unfairly or cruelly over a long period of time because of their race, religion, or political beliefs, or to annoy someone by refusing to leave them alone Persecution IS NOT Prosecution. The refugees convention is quite clear on this point. Being sent to prison for being openly gay is not persecution under the convention as it currently stands and is written today
