Comments by "TJ Marx" (@tjmarx) on "Miami building collapse: Engineer warned of major damage in 2018 | DW News" video.
No one is trapped, this isn't a building collapse with uneven debris that causes pockets to survive in. It's flat. It's 12 stories of building that have caused flat debris. No one survived that, no one was injured and died trapped. They died in 2 seconds flat. They were asleep and by the time the freefall woke them up they were dead. They can't find the bodies is because they're mush.

@PrometheusRuleTheWorld Yeah man, it pancaked. Those people were turned into paste and now it's all on fire. They're saying it smells "funky"... That's the burning human tissue. It's like looking down the chimney of a crematorium trying to find survivors. At least they went quick, you can't ask for much more than that. Dead before they even knew what was happening.

@Ama-Elaini Think about what the debris is made up of other than just concrete and people. Furniture, doors, windows, light fixtures, consumer electronics and appliances, but also more basal things like gas lines, electrical cabling, water mains and sewage pipes. Liquid under pressure in a pipe with air in the line or more pressure than the flow rate of the pipe will knock. Gas lines that are on fire will knock. Electricity sparking under tons of debris could be mistaken for a knock. Remember, we're not talking about guys saying around just hearing the knocks. We're talking about faint knocks only audible with microphones so sensitive they can hear a pigeon fart 6 blocks awake.

Why would nearby buildings, unaffected and posing no risk need emergency accommodation? 🤦

@MaxVax-dh7rh lmao. The minute this happened my first thought was it's only a matter of time before the truthers come out claiming it's an inside job. And here you are, acting like a fool 🤣🤣

Bigger profit? You say that like a 10 million dollar repair bill is nothing. As if anyone who owns a business or an asset is as wealthy as Amazon. Did you consider the delay was caused by a funding shortfall that had to be secured first? Did you consider that the same report on these structural problems also says it's safe to reside in for another decade, so no rush? Your argument is as bogus as the fact you're making it on a platform that wouldn't exist without capitalism, on a device that likewise wouldn't exist.

@MaxVax-dh7rh Please reread my comment, nowhere do I state you said anything. Also, you've been fleeced.

@sko1beer I can't say I agree with that. Go hang out by a crematorium, they don't smell like pork. We're talking about a fire burning under 12 ton of debris, with all that heat trapped inside increasing the fire.

@Jesuisderetour87 No they didn't.

Yes @joshuarodriguez2850 it is impossible. People survive in a normal building collapse because debris is uneven. It juts out and falls around things creating pockets where people can survive without being crushed. That didn't happen in this case. In this case the building fell perfectly vertically in a pancake fashion. That is, a solid slab of concrete floor fell flat against the floor below it and so on all the way down. There are no pockets, there are no gaps. It's like a hydraulic press when the top and bottom plate touch then hoping the people inside survived. They not only didn't survive they have more in common with ketchup now than their former selves. They're not even finding body parts, they're finding stains that used to be people and identifying them based on where the stain was found and who was supposed to be in the condo in that position...

@someone.6259 Because they didn't. They pulled people out of the standing structure that did not collapse.
1
@Rita Not in the collapsed section. They were found at the standing structure.
1
@kioka2 Nah. Everyone died so fast that by the time they woke up, they were dead

@someone.6259 Please refer to my earlier comment which covered this. They were part of the north tower which didn't collapse, but fell from the building.

@andywomack3414 Could you secure a 10 million dollar loan? How long do you think that would take for you personally to secure? That building wasn't worth $10M, it would have been lucky to be worth half that. We're talking about repairs were they essentially have to demolish the entire building foundation and structural supports, then rebuild them while the rest of the building above remains standing. That's not to mention that the building likely still had a mortgage on it. They had tons of staff to pay, plenty of other maintenance and most of the condos were private owner meaning the building only gains income through body corporate fees. This isn't as simple as you'd like to believe. Sometimes things happen and they're no one's fault

@learnnimiq781 Actually no it's not. No insurance agency pays out for building maintenance.
