@ittokiotoya8450 The situation needs to be de-escalated. The Tatmadaw have to be reassured they still have control or the killing and unlawful arrests won't stop. That means an immediate halt to all CDM events, strikes and activities. I see two options for democracy that are realistic possibilities. Next year Min Aung Hlaing will retire from the Tatmadaw, it's expected that will coincide with new elections. Those elections will of course be rigged for Min Aung Hlaing to win, but they also present an opportunity to beat him at his own game. The other opportunity comes in a few decades when he dies and leaves a brief window in the power vacuum. If you were going to attempt to overthrow the dictatorship through physical means, this is the only realistic chance Myanmar has. If you can't wait that long, the only option is to seek asylum elsewhere. If it turns into a humanitarian crisis involving other countries, (like say mass exodus from Myanmar of asylum seekers) then the UN are allowed to act because it's become an international dispute.

The UN has nothing to do with this, learn what the UN actually does. After you've learned about the UN, learn the history of Myanmar. This isn't anything near as bad as the media are trying to make out. The CDM are a small group of youth relative to population who need to stop.

@rambo2179 No one took over power from Aung San Suu. She never had power to begin with, nor has Myanmar EVER been a democracy. Aung San Suu always answered to the Tatmadaw, they were always in charge. Myanmar has been a military dictatorship for 61 unbroken years. There was no coup, you can't steal power if you're already the most powerful authority in the land. That's why the military didn't go in and arrest NLD party members, they asked the civilian police to do it. Let me repeat, Myanmar has NEVER been a democracy. This entire thing is being misrepresented for ratings. Actually bother to learn about Myanmar, learn why it's called Myanmar now instead of Burma. Read the constitution. Learn about its history with uprisings. Learn about the ethnic diversity and the deep social divisions between them to the point of violence. You have been manipulated by half truths and misrepresentation, so have the CDM who the media told they'd get help when they knew that wasn't reality. Until you actually understand the background and context for these events you have no place commenting.

@ittokiotoya8450 I'm not saying the murders are exaggerated, I'm saying the media are misrepresenting what is happening overall. It isn't a coup. Democracy wasn't taken away The Tatmadaw aren't bearly holding on to power The CDM is not whole of society I'm very aware of the horrific track record of genocide, torture and murder the Tatmadaw have. I'm very aware of the fighting between ethnic groups. Myanmar has been a mess for a long time, before independence. There is no chance for civilians to win against the Tatmadaw. None. Just more death for nothing. Democracy is a pipe dream for now. Be smart, be patient. Now is not the time

@sindad1993 Untrue. The UN is only a forum.
