The EU has committed funding for the equivalent of 100M doses to CoVax as opposed to directly donating doses. The UK has committed 400M doses to CoVax and yankville has committed 500M doses. Out of the 3 entities all of them have made commitments but none of those commitments are due to begin to be fulfilled until August/September. The bulk of the vaccines CoVax is distributing right now come from other countries, like India, Canada, Russia and Australia. China doesn't trust the CoVax scheme and is instead donating doses directly to countries, handling the logistics themselves so they know it actually got done and corruption wasn't involved.

@ancalyme No, it's donating funds to purchase doses. It hasn't provided those funds to CoVax yet.

@ancalyme 🤦 The EU hasn't provided anything to CoVax yet. The EU is not purchasing Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine for CoVax, the EU is donating funds to CoVax to purchase more AstraZeneca from India. The EU is not making the purchase they're leaving it to CoVax. That has not occurred yet and isn't intended to occur until Q3 after the EU has sorted out itself. The US has ordered 500M new doses from AstraZeneca specifically for donation to CoVax. They are being delivered directly to the CoVax program. Again, later in the year. Of the 3 entities OP mentioned, the EU is donating the smallest, and none of them have delivered on any of their commitments yet.
