Define "in lockdown right now" because lots of countries are calling things lockdown that aren't actually isolation. Are people allowed to leave their houses for any reason? If so, what reasons are they allowed to leave for?

@oldtomplatz8862 It's the responsibility of every member of a society, to do whatever is needed to benefit regardless of whether they want to do it or not. Selfishness has no place in a functional society.

Then you don't know what socialism is @oldtomplatz8862 . ALL societies function by having the members of the society put society first. By being in a society you have responsibilities. The only reason you have rights is to facilitate your execution of your responsibilities. This is a pandemic, stfu and do what you're told. That's how this works, how you wish things were is irrelevant. Everyone is uncomfortable, get over it. The more you resist the longer you make this for everyone.

@anc5150 The US CDC is not a trustworthy source and hasn't been throughout the pandemic. Stop listening to the US CDC and start listening to the WHO. The USA has by far been hit harder than any other country by CoVID-19 because the US CDC has no idea what it's doing or what's going on. Further, there is far more to a pandemic than it's fatality rate. Put your tinfoil hat away

After watching this guy talk, it's become clear why the US CDC is so untrustworthy and they talk so much nonsense. The guy seems like a nice enough guy, but he's a fantasist who has no clue what he's talking about. Vaccination alone does not stop a virus. Indeed these vaccines being deployed against CoVID-19 are only attempting to stop severe disease from forming. You can still become infected with CoVID-19, you can still spread CoVID-19, you can still become ill from CoVID-19 and you can still have the chronic symptoms associated with CoVID-19 infection. Herd immunity is not a thing with related coronaviruses such as SARS. We have no evidence that it's a thing in SARS-CoV-2. We are a long way from this being over, as in years. A proper lockdown is required. Interestingly, if the entire world coordinated a 6 week hard lockdown we'd suppress the virus globally to a point where things could open up most of the way and new variants wouldn't be forming giving us the space to eradicate CoVID-19 quickly through vaccination programs
