  1. Seems like Erdogan is copying China's approach to fueling growth with building. That is nuts. China is so big, that it has been able to kick its failure down the road. Turkey, being much smaller, won't be able to do that for long. PLUS, stealing from social programs is NOT a good idea. Eventually, people get pissed off. Erdogan, like many dictators, is suffering from ego mania. This will not end well for him, I think.

  2. I would like you to do a deeper analysis and explanation of what is going on in Turkey. Is Erdogan moving away from or out of NATO? Is Erdogan moving closer to cooperation with Putin?? Is Erdogan making Turkey an "Islamic" state?? Is Erdogan moving Turkey away from European cooperation and alliance?? If so, WHY??? Is Erdogan ending democracy in Turkey?? Is Turkey OK with him ending democracy? What are his chances of succeeding?? Will US end its use of the Incerlik air base?? If so, will the US move operations to a Greek or Cypriot base?? (I like that, friendlier, plus they could use the cash.) Lot of issues there. Maybe a series of videos. Thanks.

  3. Interesting. Do NATO actions override the Montreaux (?) Convention about the passage of warships into the Black Sea?? As part of NATO, wouldn't Turkey be obliged to allow NATO ships into the Black Sea to support a NATO operation?? Do Turkey's NATO obligations take precedence? I would think they would, but I don't know the law on that. Does Turkey even have the power to alter or modify that convention? Or, decide when it can be suspended?? BTW -- is there an international body that has authority over that convention? UN? NATO? Some group of "Great" powers?? If so, which ones??
