@SuperEvilMonkee The era of recce being sneaky little vehicles in peer conflict is long gone. You NEED to be able to fight for your position now. There's a reason such vehicles are appearing all over.

@meme4one Except it does. Recon in force has always been around the IFV tonnage mark in such things. Bradley, CV90 both do it too. Recon variants of BMPs exist. WHy on earth do you think "must resist MBT" is a requirement? The CT40 and Javelin is plenty for its role. Could it have better? Maybe. But ultimately it's fairly standard in the role.

@meme4one CVRT is also over 50 years old and utterly obsolete in the role.

@meme4one except it is not. Retired in UK and Ukraine does not use it for that role. You do not 'zip in and out' in modern war like that. Vehicles cannot hide. Ajax however can contact hostile recce and forward positions, support recce elements and has enough network and command kit aboard to direct the response. Cvrt has no thermals, no network connection to self designate, cannot conflict even heavy small arms fire, no weight for aps... It is obsolete, hence no one uses vehicles like it at high end now
