  1. Blame Turkey. Theyre practically a Russian ally selling them weapons, housing their oligarchs, hiding their money, and helping them around sanctions but everytime anyone does something they dont like they threaten to open the gates to the black sea. Honestly one of my all time "what ifs" in history is what if the Allies had given the European parts of Turkey to Greece like theyd promised. Since the strait is shared it would weaken Turkey and force them to play nice instead of just holding europe as hostages until they get what they want because they have a unique control over a strait used internationally.
